PASSION PROJECT:
See Last Week's Post for More General Details about the Project.
This week students are continuing to read and research their passion. As students learn about their passion and answer some of their key questions, students will begin to focus on the areas they have the most information to share with the class. By Friday, Students should have narrowed the focus of what they will be sharing with others. Students will then write topic sentences for each of the main details in their passion project.
7 Key Questions are due on Wednesday:
1. What do you want to know?
2. Why do you want to know this?
2. What will you do with this new knowledge?
4. Will it change your life for the better?
3. Who else would benefit from or enjoy having your share what you know and have learned about your passion?
4. Can you use this new knowledge to change life for the better in some way?
Parents: Please take time to see what your child is writing each week. This is one of their passions!!! Enjoy having them share their new learning with you. Passion Projects will begin being shared with Mrs. Terry and Room 18 students the second week of June. More information coming soon.
Students will need to decide how they would like to share what they know to the class and Mrs. Terry. Everyone will do a basic google slides project.
Some possible ways for students to share what they know include the following creations: write and perform a skit, a multimedia presentation, a movie, a work of art, write and perform a song, write and share a report, make a model, mobile, diorama, board game, puppet show, museum exhibit, or another idea that Mrs. Terry is excited to hear about but will need to approve.
Other presentation ideas can be found on the back of this week's homework sheet.

Students will be learning about time, money, and geometry in a variety of activities.
