All about me Valentine Boxes
This is an optional Assignment but strongly encouraged.
Students may decorate a shoe or other small box for a Valentine Mailbox to add to the fun at our Valentine Party, Tuesday, February 14.
- Cover your box with paper.You can use colored paper, wrapping paper, newspaper, etc.Let me know if you would like a piece of construction paper.
- Decorate your box with a special theme or things you LOVE .This can be pictures of your favorite things, people, places, stickers, Valentine decorations, etc... Be creative and have fun!
- Valentine Boxes are due on Valentine’s Party Day, Tuesday, February 14.
- Students may bring decorated boxes in earlier if they like.
- Prizes will be given for creativity, interest, and fun.
Instead of a shoebox…
Below are directions to turn a cereal box into a Valentine box.
- On the front of the cereal box, measure 11cm from the bottom of the box.Mark the spot with a dash or a dot.Do this 3 times.Draw a line across your measurement.
- Turn the box over.On the back of the box, measure 17cm from the bottom of the box.Mark the spot with a dash or a dot.Do this 3 times.Draw a line across your measurement.
- Draw a diagonal line / on the side of the box from your front line to your back line. Do this on both side panels.
- Cut along the lines to create your Valentine holder.
